This specialized machine is engineered specifically for producing high-integrity spot welds on multi-layer engine gaskets—including cylinder head gaskets, exhaust manifold gaskets, and oil pan gaskets. Every feature, from fixture design to power delivery, is optimized for the unique challenges of gasket welding: thin materials, tight tolerances, multiple layers, and zero tolerance for burn-through or distortion.
Unlike generic spot welders, this machine accounts for the unique characteristics of gasket layers—thin, flexible, and often coated with elastomers or adhesives that degrade under excessive heat. The MFDC power supply delivers controlled, concentrated energy pulses that form strong nuggets without overheating surrounding sealing areas.
With automatic welding cycles handling positioning, clamping, multi-point simultaneous welding, electrode retraction, and part ejection, a single operator can produce hundreds of finished gaskets per shift. Cycle times as low as 8 seconds per gasket and multi-station configurations eliminate welding station bottlenecks.
The quick-change fixture system enables manufacturers producing multiple gasket models to swap fixtures and select corresponding welding programs on the touch screen within minutes. Store up to 101 welding programs for instant recall, each with pre-set current, time, and pressure parameters.
The machine logs welding current, voltage, and time for every weld point. Integration with MES or SPC systems provides full traceability from raw material to finished gasket, enabling precise identification of manufacturing parameters for any quality issues.
